Burger places in the Bay Area. Part 1
This the start of an ever growing list of burger places in the San Francisco Bay Area. you might notice that the national burger chains are not listed here. With the exception of the local chains, that is ones locally based and a few notable exception like White Castle, I'm sticking the local mom and pop places. The McDonald's in Berkeley, CA is the same as the MaDonald's in Chicago, IL like the McDonald's in Dallas, TX. McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, no matter where you are you know what to expect, Corporate Food, the lowest common denominator. Plus the money that they take in does not stay in the community but goes back to corporate headquarters. Supporting the local guy helps support your community.
The below list is my starting place. Some of these places are old favorites of mine. I've spent hours in St. John's in Sunnyvale when I was working in The Valley. Others I have only heard about. Check back in a few days when I visit one of the local favs, Al's Big Burgers.
